Job Responsibilities
Finance;
• Monitoring daily cash inflow of Cargo Services;
• Evaluate applications for new credit customers;
• Constant monitoring of the aging status for all existing customers;
• Ensure source/subsystem & accounting system are interfaced correctly on monthly basis and resolve and disputes that occur;
• In charge of the account closing for the AR module in the accounting system for KTMB;
• Prepare a reconciliation statement between AR & GL on monthly basis;
• Ensure all transactions (AP, AR & GL) for Cargo Services are correctly taken up in the accounting system;
• Act as a department budget co-ordinator for Cargo Services;
• Managing OPEX and CAPEX budget, and ensuring all expenses & projects are within specified budget;
• Assist in preparing and reviewing newly established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) related to financial matters and identify any amendments needed for the old ones.
• Ensure any disputes or complaints from customers regarding their accounts are investigated and resolved;
• In charge of any external audit matter/query related to Cargo Services;
• Ensure all payables bills & invoices are check, verified & processed and
• Preparing various papers or management approval.
Human Resources;
• Monitoring Cargo Services staff movement (appointment, transfer, & termination);
• Ensure disciplinary action is taken towards Cargo Services staff for job-related wrongdoings;
• Arrangement for skills improvement plan & training;
• To ensure leave arrangements are done within KTMB’s Standards;
• Monitoring overtime claims for Cargo Services staff; and
• To ensure performance appraisals are to be done within the stipulated dateline.
Administration;
• Monitoring filling system and inventories and ensuring the practice is carried within KTMB’s standard for easy retrievals; and
• To ensure information from HQ is distributed widely to all Cargo Services Staff.
Requirements
• Must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounts / Finance / Human Resources / Administration or equivalent from any recognized University; or
• Minimum five (5) years of working experience in Job Grade G06 for internal candidates;
• Vast knowledge of Accounting Standards (MFRS / MASB), Taxation, Employments Act, and administration. Experience in ERP software like ORACLE will be an added advantage;
2. Senior Executive Marketing (Containerize)
Job Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as Senior Executive Marketing for containerized cargo with the responsibility for carrying out all work/issues related to cargo customers and assisting to Marketing Manager (Containerize).
• Promote and market cargo business in good marketing strategies. Monitor containerize train movement and update customers. Coordinate with the Cargo Operation team to ensure the smooth running of cargo trains.
• To follow up with customers on related issues, and respond to inquiries/requests if applicable.
• To assist Finance Department with debt/revenue collection from customers timely.
• To keep records and data on train plans, TEUs and revenue achieved.
• Participate in marketing events/promotions/customer relationship programs and activities.
• To update and compile the weekly submission of KTMB Corporate Plan Initiatives 2020 – 2030. To ensure the timeliness of weekly submission to the Corporate Planning officer in charge.
• To keep information private and confidential, especially on customer’s profile and rate information.
• Responsible to ensure daily operation of Containerize Marketing Unit run smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
• Possess at least Diploma in Business Administration / Business Management / Marketing / Secretarial or related discipline from any recognized University; or
• For internal candidates, minimum three (3) years of working experience in Job Grade G07;
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management within the organization
• Able to travel and work independently with minimum supervision.
• Possessing good interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Technical Assitant
Job Responsibilities
• To plan and supervise a team of technical staff to carry out maintenance task.
• Conduct technical inspections and investigations.
• Prepare a technical report, failure analysis, and other documentation.
• Performs related duties & daily work as assigned by the Senior Manager / Manager.
• Manage, coordinate, update, monitor, and compile regional track maintenance program and progress. Ensure timely submission and compile/maintain soft and hard copies for reference.
• Manage, coordinate, update, monitor and compile regional daily caution & time lost. Ensure timely submission and compile/maintain soft and hard copies for reference.
• Analyze progress and troubleshoot problems arising from track maintenance issues i.e. track defect, caution, and time lost.
• Update, compile, and maintain soft and hard copy all documents of track maintenance i.e. track defect, caution, and time lost.
• Prepare minutes of meeting, correspondence and reports writing.
• QA & QC for track maintenance activities (mechanization) to ensure the reliability of track defect, EM120 analysis and track safety.
• Conduct training and assess on level of competency, knowledge, and skill of the staff.
• Conduct inspection on track maintenance activity to ensure fulfill company rules and regulations.
• Assist the Senior Manager / Manager in the day-to-day operations within the department concerned.
• Performs related duties as assigned by the Senior Manager / Manager.
